Hundreds of visitors attended our first Exhibition Islam event in October 2015. The feedback was overwhelming positive with visitors able to find out more about their Muslim neighbours.

Andrew was a close friend of Wimbledon Mosque and was always first to attend community events. He sadly passed away on Wednesday 26 October 2016 following a heart attack.

Visitors were greeted on the ground floor of the Mosque with the option to request a guided tour.

With a wealth of information on display, many visitors opted to walk around the exhibition focusing on areas of interest.

The first floor provided over 10 themed areas on various topics including Islam in Britain and Islam and Modern Science.

Various scaled models provided visual aid to the exhibition. This scaled model depicts the simple home and lifestyle opted by the Prophet of Islam - Muhammad (Peace be upon him)

Jewish scriptures in Hebrew and pages of Arabic Qur'an were on display.

A central showpiece displayed the Islamic art and culture from various regions of the world.

An interactive scaled model of historical Madinah (currently in Saudi Arabia) proved to be a natural attraction for children.

Overall the event was a great opportunity for neighbours, families, children, individuals and all parts of our community to come together and meet each other over a two day exhibition.
