What’s On?

  • Explore 10+ Museum style zones – learn about Islam in Britain, the life of Muhammad (saw), the beliefs of Muslim, Islam and Science, Islamic inventions and much more. View the various artefacts, relics and scriptures on display and visualise the history of Islamic architecture through clay models.
  • Meet your Muslim neighbours – Communication is a great way to break down barriers and learn about different beliefs based on shared values. Take the opportunity to have informal conversations with your Muslims neighbours and get an insight into the lives of Muslims in modern day Britain.
  • Ask questions – our Imams and a host of male and female volunteers will be available throughout the exhibition so go ahead and ask those questions.
  • Guided Mosque Tour – if you’ve not been inside a Mosque then why not take a guided tour to understand the purpose of a Mosque and the various areas inside a Mosque.
  • Join us for refreshments – we’ll have a selection of refreshments to enjoy. All refreshments are free so please don’t forget to participate before concluding on an eventful day.

Guest Speaker Sessions?

The topics for guest speaker sessions are focused around topics that are often mentioned in the media. We hope the sessions will provide you the information to make your conclusions based on understanding the various topic areas in more detail..

There will be limited seating for our speaker sessions so please ensure your register free online and indicate the sessions you would like to attend.

Saturday 7th October – Morning Session

  • Time: 11:30am
  • Arrival Time: 15 minutes before
  • Topic: The Story of Mary (as)
  • Who should attend? Open to all. A great opportunity for our Christian neighbours to learn what the Qur’an says about the story of Mary the mother of Jesus (peace be upon them both).
  • Session Details: Our guest Imam will be reciting directly from the Qur’an in Arabic and there will be live translations in English. The Imam will deliver an insight into the story of one of the great women of Islam. Q&As to follow.

Saturday 7th October – Afternoon Session

  • Time: 3:30pm
  • Arrival Time: 15 minutes before
  • Topic: Understanding Sharia Law
  • Who should attend? Open to all. If you have heard the words ‘Islamic Sharia Law’ in the media and would like to make an informed decision on this topic then this session is a must attend.
  • Session Details: Our guest will provide an overview of Islamic Sharia Law, the foundations of the laws and how laws are implemented. A brief insight into Sharia Councils in the UK and their purposes will also be provided. Q&As to follow.

Sunday 8th October – Morning Session

  • Arrival Time: 15 minutes before
  • Topic: The Prophet Muhammad (saw)
  • Who should attend? Open to all.
  • Session Details: He was the greatest man ever to walk the Earth and his legacy in both the spiritual and political realms have shaped the world more than any other figure in history. Yet the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) remains a mystery to the non-Muslim world, most of whom know very little if anything about his life, message or achievements. Q&As to follow.

Sunday 8th October – Afternoon Session

  • Time: 3:30pm
  • Arrival Time: 15 minutes before
  • Topic: The Islamic Madrasa
  • Who should attend? Open to all and especially families and children.
  • Session Details: We are delighted to have our guest organisation Baseera (education institute for Muslims with disabilities) to provide an insight into the Islamic Madrasa. Children from Baseera will recite the Qur’an in melodic tones and also perform some Islamic vocal music in English and Arabic.
